KET Speaking
Time allowed - 8-10 minutes
Normally you will do the speaking test with another candidate. The two of you will meet two examiners. One of the examiners will talk to you, the other does not particpate in the conversations.
There are two parts to the speaking test:
Speaking part 1: short questions and answers between you and the examiner
Speaking part 2: the examiner gives you some information or a card with some ideas for questions. You have to talk with the other candidate and ask or answer questions.
Scoring
The Speaking section is worth 25% of the total score for the exam.

Okay, if you see all the tests you can say that is very important how you use the expressions, connectors and the correct words in english, because you may be are giving an incorrect information and for this kind of tests yo have to be precise. But at the same time you have to control your nerves, for example, Luis and Gustavo were nervous and this played bad for them. Gustavo and Luis were better than the other guys, but their conversation was not correct. I mean that they have to practice more expressions and the most common words in english vocabulary, they have to practice their pronunciation a little bit too and they have to be faster. That was my opinion, I will learn of this guys for my next key exam Thank you miss Nadia :)

I believe that in our classes we have better english pronunciation and more knowledge about the english , we could give a review of this type with more ease.
In the first video both guys were nervous and thought a lot to answer or answers were very short and simple, in the second video the girl who was more nervous. In the second part, gustavo and kevin were wrong the first video and found the information easy on the cards that put them more nervous, but they were better than the first of the second half. In conclusion, for a good interview and clarity must be fluent in speaking and answering questions.

ResponderEliminarWell actually i heard a lot about this contest in cultural, they often speak us about it. After I saw the videos I thought I had to give my appreciation and this is: I saw Nathan and Rex conversation and I think they were speaking like robots I mean they speak like machining, following a script and I think that´s not the idea you must speak naturally as when you speak with your friends and you joke and you have to feel comfortable not nervous not sad not any bad expression. You have to be like you are everyday.

I think that the Mexican guy that speaks in the first video is kind of nervous and the Brazilian guy is also nervous but he tries to control it and if we want to participate the best recommendation to participate in this contest is not to be nervous.

I think Luis must be better prepared, especially in the correct use of the grammar, improve his vocabulary and in his pronunciation to be faster in his answers

I think is very important the pronnunciation and know about the common vocabulary that americans use at the moment of start a conversation.. So this guys need, in my opinion, to practice more and their nervous was a lot, i think they have to keep calm.
ResponderEliminarIn my opinion, this videos can show how important are vocabulary and pronunciation in english. in the first video i could see that for gustavo was easier to answer the questions but for luis it was kind of hard , i could even notice that gustavo used more words to communicate and he talk in a very fluent way, but luis used just basic words and he didn't used connectors .
ResponderEliminarWell...I think that in the case of speaking, people should talk and talk and talk and keep talking.....I know that you can feel very nervous, but if you stay quiet and you just say a few words or even nothing, that would be worse because the person who is taking the exam may think that you are not sure of what you are saying or also could think that you don't understand very well what he is asking....those videos can help us to know how hard could be to take this kind of exams where you have to speak....so, I would say....Just keep talking! it doesn't matter if what you are saying doesn't have any sense,it doesn't matter if you go on and on and on and on, it doesn't matter if you go around in circles, the thing is to speak and speak well ( that's what they call it "speaking")
ResponderEliminargood, in my opinion i see the video at Luis and Gustavo part 2, and they re nervus, because , her natal languash it is not english, luis is from mexico and gustavo from Brasil, , they talk abaout the new teacher, luis and gustavo talk about them.gustavo question luis some informtion by the new teacher,the new techer teach, english and french . her name , and other question about teacher, her teacher is from canada , when he start , the video shows that they are nervous to the not be able to explain clearly his ideas ,Another issue that speak in the interview is about a library the libray open monday to saturday ,.
